Ranch Rules !

I’m a big fan of the Avocado , Dip and Ranch .. so why not make it all in one? One thing I’ve had to do while on the Whole 30 was figure out how to make my faves with other things that I can actually have .. so far the most versatile ingredient is the perfect avocado , Its rich and creamy and it takes all the flavours you give it

So while surfing the internet I came across some dairy free ranches and I’m like there should be no reason you can’t do this with the mighty avocado .. like really what cant it do ..

Avocado Ranch Dip

1 large Avocado

1 tsp. Mustard ( a nice Dijon will do .. not yellow)

1 tsp Apple Cider/Red Wine Vinegar

1 tsp. lemon juice

¾ tsp. Garlic Powder ( I usually make this a full tsp. cause I like more garlic)

¾ tsp. onion Power

½ tsp. sea salt ( I use pink Himalayan Salt)

¼ tsp. pepper ( add more if you want it to have a little kick )

2 tbsp. cilantro

2 tbsp. dill

2 tbsp. chives

1 tbsp parsley

1 tbsp. basil

Add home made mayo or coconut cream to make it a little  loser if your looking for more of a salad dressing

Place everything in a blender and blend till it is creamy and smooth . Sometimes I put the herbs, vinegar, and lemon juice in the blender first to get them a little finer so you don’t get chunks of herbs!

Serve on lettuce wraps, chicken, dip veggies , or add to salads for a rich creamy almost sinful ranch dressing

A good Substitute to the packaged ranch that you can buy is

  • 2 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp parsley
  • 3 tsp dill weed
  • 2 tsp dried chives
  • 4 tsp garlic powder
  • 4 tsp onion powder
  • 4 tsp dried onion flakes
  • 2 tsp black pepper

Add to olive oil for a marinade , add to greek yogurt for a dip .. sprinkle on top of popcorn for a tasty topping( I still add a little parm on my popcorn)
